There is a different approach to Continuing Professional Development throughout EDEP this year. We have enlisted the support of Andy Hind of Educational Support for Schools (ES4S) to lead us in a carefully structured series of CPD activities that will offer something to all school staff, irrespective of role or phase of education. The focus is on helping schools to further develop as effective learning organisations.
ES4S is currently working with the National College of School Leadership, the South East Leadership Trust and over 25 local authorities, supporting schools in becoming more effective as learning organisations.
We have set out a programme of events throughout the year of which we hope schools will take full advantage.
The focus is on exploring and developing:
A shared understanding about leadership in learning, in an effective learning organisation
The essential qualities of a culture for deep learning
Effective learning process and how these can become embedded within any organisation
Tools and techniques for effectiveness
